Full-Time Direct Hire position!

The senior level Data Engineer Quality Automation position designs or modifies testing/data validation/quality assurance for automated applications and procedures for solutions to high to highly complex business problems. Also has full operational knowledge of all phases of testing and can work independently at a high level of complexity related to quality assurance. Directs and reviews work of lower-level engineers and/or may perform as an individual contributor and/or lead data testing for large and highly complex systems. Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conducts highly complex, important work operating with autonomy and wide latitude for independent judgment.

Responsibilities:

50% – Data/ETL Test Design and Execution

• Design and develop comprehensive data verification and validation for backend data-oriented systems and ETL processes using modern tools, languages, data processing frameworks, and databases approved for use as applicable.
• Use scripting/programming languages with a modern IDE and source code management.
• Develop automated solutions where possible, using scheduling, CI/CD jobs, or Application event triggers as available.
• Work with structured and unstructured data from a variety of data stores, such as data lakes, relational database management systems, and/or data warehouses.

20% – Technical Leadership

• Investigate and implement technologies and frameworks that could contribute to process improvements.
• Take lead in improving best practices that benefit all team members performing data testing.
• Recommend methods based on a history of experiences testing and exploring new technologies.

10% – Data Visualization Testing

• Develop solutions for testing data visualizations using common visualization platforms.

10% – Team Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

• Mentors less-experienced team members by providing direction and guidance.
• Participate and promote team discussions and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

10% – Participation and Compliance

• Participates in department, or system projects of high to highest complexity.
• Demonstrates effective Core Competency skills for grade and position.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Actively involved in the accomplishment of departmental and wide quality initiatives.
• Complies with all applicable information security policies, guidelines and practices.
