EU Project Assistant

Position description

The European Federation of Agencies and Regions for Energy and Environment (FEDARENE) offers in its Brussels office, from August 2025 onwards: a 6-month internship as EU Project Assistant.

Main activities:

Support the FEDARENE project manager and officer(s) in the implementation of tasks such as:

• Developing and carrying out campaigns towards local and regional authorities for renewing their engagement to the projects.
• Supporting the projects’ beneficiaries (general helpdesk) in understanding and using the tools at their disposal.
• Developing surveys for projects’ members, analysing results and drafting reports.
• Supporting the development of proposal for EU-funded projects.
• Supporting the daily management of EU projects/initiatives.

Support in the organisation of events:

• Supporting the implementation of a peer-to-peer programme for regions, local authorities and energy agencies.
• Supporting the organisation of a high-level conference planned for Q3 2025, as well as other online or in person events that may take place within the internship period.

Support in other activities:

• the intern may also be requested to participate in other activities for our members (energy agencies and regions around the EU).

Required profile:

• Student in European Studies, Environmental studies or similar.
• C1 minimum in English (good writing skills in English is essential).
• Autonomous, creative, proactive.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and especially MS Excel and MS Word.
• Able to quickly familiarise with web applications.
