Eurofound is organising a procedure to select a well-qualified candidate to the role of: Seconded National Expert.
Seconded National Experts (SNE) are typically drawn from public administrations in EU Member States, bringing their expertise to Eurofound for a defined period before returning to their home administration.
The SNE – Research Officer will be based in one of Eurofound’s research units (Employment, Working Life, or Social Policies) and will report to the relevant Head of Unit. The role involves contributing to Eurofound’s research projects focused on key societal challenges relevant to EU policy-making in the area of living and working conditions.

The secondment will be for an initial period of two years, with the possibility of an extension of a further two years, maximum, subject to budgetary availability.
The successful candidate will be an EU citizen, fluent in at least 2 EU languages – including an excellent level of English, with a relevant university degree and at least 3 years’ work experience at an appropriate level.
Interviews will be scheduled in the first half of September 2025.
Eurofound is recruiting an IT Systems Officer (Grade AD5).
The successful candidate will be an EU citizen, fluent in at least 2 EU languages – including an excellent level of English, with a university degree and experience relevant to the role, as described in the vacancy notice.
A maximum of 12 candidates will be shortlisted and will be invited to (online) competency tests and interviews in October 2025.
Eurofound is recruiting a HR Administrator (Grade AD6).
The successful candidate will be an EU citizen, fluent in at least 2 EU languages – including an excellent level of English, with a university degree and 3 years post-graduate experience.
A maximum of 10 candidates will be shortlisted and will be invited to (online) competency tests and interviews in October 2025.

Eurofound is setting up a reserve list from which to recruit Research Officers (Grade AD5).
Research Officers can be assigned to one of the 3 Eurofound research units – Employment, Working Life and Social Policies and are involved in formulation, coordination and management of European-wide studies, surveys publications and other projects.
The successful candidate will be an EU citizen, fluent in at least 2 EU languages – including an excellent level of English, with a relevant university degree and at least 2 years’ experience in applied research and/or policy experience related to one or more of the areas of: labour market; working conditions; industrial relations and social dialogue; living conditions and quality of life.
A maximum of 30 candidates will be shortlisted and will be invited to (online) competency tests in July and interview with the Selection Committee in October 2025.

The 2025 post-graduate traineeships programme is closed. Applications will be assessed and shortlisted candidates will be invited for Teams interviews throughout 2025, according to the needs of the different units.

The post-graduate traineeship programme is addressed to recent university graduates, without excluding those who – in the framework of lifelong learning – have recently obtained their university qualification and are at the beginning of a new professional career.
Six-month traineeships will be offered on the basis that the candidate has the ability to participate to the extent necessary and will benefit from the experience. The traineeship can be extended up to a maximum of 12 months.

The duties of the role will be to design, implement, and manage Microsoft-based solutions, including workflows, integrations, and automation across the M365 and Power platform while ensuring alignment with organisational requirements in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Eurofound is recruiting an ICT Systems Specialist (Grade: AST4) who will report to the Head of ICT, as part of Eurofound’s Resources Unit. The duties of the role will be to ensure our systems run smoothly and efficiently by improving the management of our hybrid cloud infrastructure, as well as contributing to the automation of business processes.

Eurofound is recruiting an Internal Control and Risk Management Officer who will assist the Head of Unit in developing and implementing a risk management and control strategy, establishing procedures for monitoring the effectiveness and efficiency of internal control, and carrying out assessments of the sound functioning of the Internal Control System. The job holder will strengthen the design and implementation of internal controls, conduct assessments and checks, and provide recommendations for enhancing control environments and minimising risks. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, identifying risks and control deficiencies, implementing mitigating actions and promoting a culture of accountability and integrity.

Research Support Officers can be assigned to one of the 3 Eurofound research units – Employment, Working Life and Social Policies and contribute to the formulation, coordination and management of European-wide studies and surveys, with a particular focus on the ongoing development and maintenance of Eurofound’s online quantitative and qualitative databases and the preparation of datasets and their secondary analyses.
The successful candidate will be an EU citizen, fluent in at least 2 EU languages – including an excellent level of English, relevant experience and appropriate technical skills with a university degree (or professional training of an equivalent level, where justified in the interest of the service) – preferably in statistics and data analysis, sociology, economics, political science, business studies, psychology, labour law, industrial relations or related areas.
