This role is crucial in ensuring our residents receive nutritious, delicious, and well-balanced meals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to dietary needs and preferences of residents.
• Ensure all meals are prepared in a timely manner and meet health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare professionals to create meal plans.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• MUST BE DEPENDABLE!
• MUST PASS A BACKGROUND TEST!
• Proven experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and special diets.
• Strong understanding of food safety practices.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Culinary certification or relevant training is a plus.

Pay:

• $17.00 an hour
