Job Summary
Drexel University Libraries, W.W. Hagerty, is seeking a highly self-motivated individual interested in gaining work experience in libraries to fill the position of evening supervisor. This individual will be responsible for the evening supervision and operation of the Service Desk and overall functioning of the Library in the absence of professional staff.
Essential Functions
- Handling a variety of situations related to access, facilities and library services; often as the only staff on duty.
- Assisting library clients in locating materials, troubleshooting problems, and interpreting policies.
- Assisting Public Safety with access issues.
- Supervising student employees at the Service Desk.
- Performing general maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Opening and closing the library (Sat)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Physical Demands
- Typically sitting at a desk/table
- Typically standing, walking
- Lifting demands 25lbs

- University City – Philadelphia, PA
Additional Information
This is a Part-Time Casual position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
