EY GDS – AI&DATA – SAS – Senior

We’re looking for candidates with strong technology and data understanding in data engineering space, having proven delivery capability. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm as well as a part of a growing AI&DATA team.

Your key responsibilities:

• Develop optimized programs and macros using SAS standard guidelines and functionality.
• Rearchitecting SAS code to Databricks/Snowflake
• Data and Object migration.
• Utilize SAS Base, Macro, EG, and other native tools effectively for development tasks.
• Apply advanced understanding of Data Warehouse & ETL principles in project execution.
• Conduct data analysis, data profiling, and SQL tuning to ensure data quality and performance.
• Demonstrate expertise Python coding for automation and scripting tasks.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate SAS solutions into existing systems and processes.
• Explore and adopt new technologies to enhance development processes and capabilities.
• Work independently on assigned tasks, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4 to 8 years of experience in SAS development, with a focus on SAS Base, Macro, and EG.
• Experience in Rearchitecting the SAS code to Databricks/Snowflake
• Strong understanding of Data Warehouse & ETL principles and practical experience.
• Data and Object migration experience.
• Understanding of Snowflake
• Experience working on Cloud Environment
• Proficiency in SQL tuning, data analysis, and data profiling techniques.
• Experience with Python coding for automation tasks.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to a fast-paced development environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and logical thought process.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Project management skills
• Familiar with Agile project delivery.
• Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS is preferred.
