Position Summary

  • Serve as the Executive Director (ED) responsible for the strategic growth and delivery of Government and Infrastructure (G&I) deals in the EMEAregion from Global Delivery Services (GDS).
  • Lead the pursuit of G&I Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring high quality responses and alignment with client needs.
  • Establish and oversee a dedicated team capable of delivering complex projects within the G&I sector.
  • Manage the G&I portfolio as a business unit, focusing on profitability,innovation, and sustainable growth.
  • Act as a key liaison between clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to foster relationships and drive business outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, while upholding the firm’s reputation for excellence in the G&I sector. 
  • Must have worked on International Network / Corridor Business in the Government sector

Essential Functions of the job

  • Growth and delivery of the GPS business. Shall be responsible for all communications/ interaction with clients.
  • Shall review/ monitor the work progress and deliver to the satisfaction of the client. Shall be responsible for daily coordination with the Client, ensuring recording and relaying of communications.
  • Responsible for end-to-end delivery of consulting engagement or components thereof under the guidance of an engagement manager
  • Will need to travel extensively across EMEIA as part of project and for creating opportunity.
  • Shall play a key role in growing the practice; primary focus will be on developing high quality proposals.
  • Shall work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment to build business, as well as serve client and lead teams.
  • 360 focus and hand-on approach: Work with the various teams to help regional growth. The role demands 360-degree hands on approach of Delivery – Hiring, GTM & solutioning, Practise building, Delivering excellence and Quality and Profitable growth.
  • Champion in Delivery: A ‘Delivery Champion,’ this leader excels in enhancing current engagements, ensuring top-tier execution as the foundation for sustainable growth. Is also able to participate in solutioning, architecting and being part of Customer Orals.
  • Business Leader: Ensure operational excellence, focusing on driving profitable growth while maintaining high standards of delivery.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, leading the end-to-end RFP process for G&I deals.
  • Talent Management: Build a team by attracting, nurturing, and retaining exceptional talent, participate in recruitment, talent development. Provide inspirational leadership and direction to senior managers and the wider team

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities

  • Grow, Lead and oversee the GPS practice, including client engagements, project delivery, and business development initiatives.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders in the
  • GPS, such as government agencies, departments, and non-profit organizations.
  • Provide strategic direction and thought leadership to clients, offering innovative solutions to complex challenges and driving sustainable change.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive consulting strategies, aligning them with client goals and objectives.
  • Manage a team of consultants, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the firm to leverage expertise and resources to support client needs.
  • Identify new business opportunities, participate in business development activities, and contribute to proposal development and client presentations.
  • Monitor project performance, excel in delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and policy developments related to the GPS and incorporate them into consulting
  • strategies and client solutions. The expectation is to understand the GPS sector in EMEIA
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the public sector consulting practice.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in management consulting, with a focus on the GPS in India and EMEA/Global.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large scale consulting projects for public sector clients in EMEIA region
  • Strong knowledge of public sector policies, regulations, and government operations in EMEIA
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Business development experience, including the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Should have positive attitude, excellent analytical and problem solving skills, thought leadership and presentation skills and should beable to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders 

Knowledge and Skills

Requirements

  • Deep technical expertise in Analytics, Digital, and Cloud technologies, with the ability to apply these in the G&I context
  • A technologist with understanding of the latest technology trends,
  • EMEA market, including economic, cultural, and regulatory factors affecting business operations.
  • A comprehensive background in strategic planning, business development, and operational management.
  • Expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a minimum of 20 years of experience and in similar roles currently.
  • A strong track record of delivering growth and achieving business objectives in a competitive environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully operating within ambiguous and unstructured work environments.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of effectively articulating complex ideas and influencing decision-makers.
  • High-level strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams to exceed expectations.
  • Resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges and market changes.
