Due to our rapid expansion, we are now looking for an Assistant Manager or Manager with a specialisation in Financial Services sector to join our Strategy Consulting team in Athens. They’ll be a part of a collaborative team that applies the latest thinking, research, analytics, and methodologies to help transform clients’ businesses and solve complex business matters, driving change for tomorrow’s working world. As an Assistant Manager / Manager in our Financial Services Strategy Consulting team, you will:

• advise clients across various sectors, support key decision makers in developing transformative corporate, growth and transaction strategies, and executing them
• understand key business drivers, co-develop our approach with clients, agree value measurements with the client, provide value to the client through insights, factual conclusions, and recommendations.
• demonstrate the ability to gather and analyze relevant business and industry information, effectively assessing it using strategic and commercial evaluation techniques.
• assist with business development activities including client pitches, presentations and client meetings.
• take responsibility for own learning and development, provide coaching to others, and participate in upward feedback.
• share your technical and other knowledge with your team.
• be an effective time manager, able to keep calm under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• be a team player, effectively building relationships with all client and EY echelons
• work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to implement and execute strategic initiatives.

Skills & Attributes for Success

What we look for

• Excellent academic background from a top tier university. Master’s degree in business / engineering / economics or finance. An MBA degree will be considered as a strong asset
• Significant relevant strategy consulting experience and/or experience in financial services industry
• Well-developed structured problem solving and analytical skills
• Highly developed logic and linear thinking
• Strong business acumen with an ability to shape the business agenda and define strategic roadmaps
• Experience in tackling complex business projects and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
• Comfortable with project task & activity ownership and accountable for work outputs
• Strong people and leadership skills (including team coordination, people development & coaching)
• Previous experience with business development activities will be considered a strong plus
• Entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to work autonomously and exhibit a high degree of agility
• Excellent written and verbal communication both in Greek and English
• Experience in producing and reviewing high caliber reports, papers, and presentations to senior executives and stakeholders in a clear compelling manner
• Solid influencing skills and stakeholder management with the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally
• Good use of MS office (excel, powerpoint, outlook); other data visualisation tools will be considered a plus (e.g. PowerBI)

  • Corporate and BU strategy
  • Business model reinvention
  • Portfolio strategy
  • New market entry opportunities
  • Go-to-market strategy
  • Commercial due diligence
  • Vendor due diligence
  • Integration strategy planning and execution (post-merger integrations)
