At PDS Tech Commercial, we’re hiring a FAA Assembly & Test Technician to join our team at a leading aerospace manufacturing facility in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. This role is essential to ensuring the quality and reliability of electromechanical and electro-hydraulic control systems used in aircraft and helicopter engines.

Your Impact

As a FAA Assembly & Test Technician, you’ll perform standard testing processes using precision tools and equipment, analyze results, and contribute to the continuous improvement of aerospace production. Your work will directly support both commercial and military aviation applications.

What You’ll Do

• Perform testing and calibration of hydro-mechanical fuel controls
• Use precision tools and measuring equipment for inspections
• Follow electronic work instructions, blueprints, and quality procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
• Participate in daily Tier meetings and continuous improvement activities
• Detect and report faulty operations or materials
• Maintain work areas according to 5S and Visual Management standards
• Support Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance
• Work overtime and weekends as needed

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• Mechanical and technical experience
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, internet navigation)
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to lift over 30 lbs and work in environments with physical risks
• Intermediate math skills
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and interpret blueprints
• Experience using precision measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience in assembly and/or test manufacturing
• Associates degree
• North Carolina WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or Gold)
• Six Sigma training or certification
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience in aerospace production environments
• Knowledge of 5S principles and continuous improvement practices

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
