This position pays $ 16.00 per hour with increases at 90 and 360 days if meeting expectations.

The Facilities Assistant II is accountable for maintaining a clean warehouse environment, ensuring warehouse materials are appropriately recycled, and for maintaining clean grounds at 2441, 3737, and 5050 locations. Position may assist with routine maintenance functions and provide assistance/support to more senior facilities staff. Position may assist with relocation tasks. This position may provide janitorial services for all locations.

Maintain clean and safe grounds at 2441, 3737, and 5050 locations in an efficient manner by following proper procedures to ensure that company and safety regulations are met.

Maintains clean warehouse environment in an efficient manner by dumping trash daily and by sweeping entire warehouse including all workstations. Ensures multiple daily recycling of cardboard and packing materials in an efficient manner by retrieving materials from various locations, and by sorting and transferring to recycling bins and dumpsters.

Assists with maintaining warehouse shelving by performing necessary assembly and repairs. Also assists with relocation tasks and furniture moving and assembly.

Assists with setting up and tearing down for company functions (e.g. moving tables, setting out chairs, etc.)

Conducts very routine maintenance functions (e.g. changing light bulbs, basic floor repairs) in a proactive, efficient manner and provides assistance/support to more senior facilities staff as requested.

Position may also specialize in janitorial services for all office and warehouse locations including but not limited to, cleaning bathrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms, and offices.

Position may require operating company vehicles or equipment to transport materials and to maintain offsite facilities.

Completes additional duties and projects as directed by reviewing request with supervisor/manager or senior technicians and appropriately carrying out request.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. One year of basic janitorial experience is preferred. 

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Ability to read and understand written work instructions, safety rules, and operating instructions
  • Ability to understand liquid measurements
  • Ability to use general mathematical skills (e.g. add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
  • Ability to operate maintenance equipment (e.g. carts, fork lift, pallet jack rider, stock chaser, etc.)
  • Ability to pass an examination for in-house material handling equipment licenses
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop/bend and climb (e.g. ladders, lifts, etc.) on a regular basis for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in high locations (e.g. roofs, on ladders, etc.)
  • Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to work in small, confined, or difficult spaces
  • Ability to work unexpected shifts/hours due to business requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and move objects up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis using proper lifting techniques
  • Must arrive on time to work scheduled hours and complete assigned tasks
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License, safe driving record and be insurable by company’s liability carrier
