Job Title: Facilities HVAC Technician

Job Description

Operate, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and replace facilities’ mechanical components and systems, including electrical equipment, HVAC, and plumbing. The primary focus will be on chillers and air handlers, in addition to rooftop units. Work is conducted under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain chillers and air handlers.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems and components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Utilize CMMS work order system for efficient task management.
• Interpret and work from blueprints.
• Ensure timely response to on-call duties.

Essential Skills

• HVAC and Mechanical expertise.
• Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
• experience with chillers, air handlers, and RTUs.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• MA Refrigeration or Journeyman HVAC license.
• 4-6 years of experience in commercial facilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of boiler operations.
• Understanding of building management system (BMS) operations.
• Proficiency in communication in English.
• Repair and service expertise in pneumatics, boilers, electrical, and plumbing.
• Reside within 1 hour of the hospital for on-call responsibilities.

Work Environment

Work in a 280,000 square foot hospital with 174 beds. Join a dedicated team of four technicians on shift, ensuring the facility operates smoothly and efficiently.

Shift- 6 am – 2:30 pm

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 – $50.00/hr.
