About the position:

The Facilities Engineering Information Management Engineer is part of the Technical Services Team within the Chevron ENGINE Center and supports the process, guidelines, and best practices for managing enterprise facilities information. This role involves ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with engineering functional IM requirements, as well as supporting the development and maintenance of engineering information systems.

Key responsibilities:

1. Functional Data Governance: Establish and support the delivery of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

2. Information Systems Management: Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering information systems, ensuring they meet the organization’s needs and support business objectives.

3. Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including IT, digital engineering, and business units, to understand their information needs and provide guidance about solutions.

4. Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on information management best practices and the use of information systems.

5. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving facilities information management processes and systems, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline (mechanical, chemical, etc.) (B.E./B.Tech.) from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) university

Prior capital projects on the engineering management and or information management teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Data engineering or data science certification

Experience with data management tools and software. 

5+ years of Information Management experience, knowledgeable with several Engineering IM systems and is able to provide guidance to users of these systems, including training, sharing best practices and driving adoption of IM practices.

Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1:30pm to 10:30pm.

Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
