Facilities Technician

Duration: 12-month contract

Job Description:

• This is an Engineering Technical Support tole.
• Candidate will maintain and troubleshoot facilities infrastructure (mostly HVAC, water systems, vacuum pumps, etc).
• Will work closely with an Engineer.
• Primarily will support 2 engineers to assist with the support the SP campus.
• A key function of this job is customer interfacing, knowledge and understanding of customer’s processes and needs, consulting with multiple customers, maintaining good customer relationships, and providing the customer with the most effective support.
• Daily/weekly walk down water systems, record information weekly visit, settings check, etc.
• Execute drawing updates, file uploads, document updates, air balance sheet updates.
• Conduct checks and basic troubleshooting when issues arise and report findings to system engineers.
• Label systems that are missing labels
• Be the supplier point of contact for on-site visits and maintenance activities
• Assist with management of small trades jobs, monitor trades after scope developed, be the communications point and report back to engineering
• Follow up with Trades on work, place work orders, attend Trades planning meetings, preventative maintenance coordination
• Maintain spare parts inventory

experience:

• Basic trouble shooting, HVAC, water systems, process piping, other.
• Schematic verifications
• The position also requires significant interface with Project Managers, Facility Engineering and Trades

education:

Associates in Science 2 year degree
