Facility Operations Manager

ATS is looking for a qualified Facility Operations Manager to support the Special Operations Mission Training Center Facility at Fort Bragg, NC.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee full-spectrum facility operations and readiness for the Special Operations Mission Training Center, ensuring continuous support to mission-critical training through proactive maintenance, inspections, and rapid issue resolution.
  • Manage DPW coordination and work order execution, including submission, tracking, validation, and quality assurance of repair, upgrade, and service actions in accordance with Fort Bragg DPW regulations and procedures.
  • Ensure proper operation of critical building systems, including HVAC, humidity control, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems, maintaining environmental conditions required for mission command training systems.
  • Lead facility safety, security, and compliance programs, including key control, fire marshal coordination, access control, and enforcement of Army and installation regulations.
  • Supervise maintenance and support personnel, coordinate contractor/vendor activities, and manage schedules to support high-tempo training events, surge operations, and after-hours requirements.
  • Serve as primary liaison between Government leadership, tenant units, DPW, and contractors, providing status updates, resolving facility issues, and ensuring training spaces remain fully mission-capable.

experience AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree. Fifteen years of Army Special Forces experience may substitute for academic degrees.
  • Graduate of the Army Special Forces Qualifying Course (18A, 180A, or 18 series Noncommissioned Officers Military Occupation Specialties).
  • Two years of experience in facility management, and operations of Army Mission Command Training Center/Complex. Proof of US Citizenship required.
  • Two years of experience in supervision of maintenance, security, and safety of facilities.
  • Military Installation Directorate of Public Works (DPW) Repair and Upgrade (R&U) training.
  • Experience performing humidity/air conditioning and controls checks.
  • Experience submitting and tracking DPW services or work orders for AC/heat, plumbing, electrical, etc. with emphasis on Fort Bragg Directorate of Public Works (DPW) regulation and procedures.

SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certified Project Manager.
  • Experience performing key control and fire marshal functions.
  • Defense Information Systems for Security (DISS) training.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to details, and project coordination.
  • Four years’ experience as a senior supervisor
  • Two years of management and operations experience of a Training Center or Complex (MTC, NTC, JRTC, etc.).

Working Environment: The working environment is a high-security, fast-paced Special Operations training facility that operates in direct support of mission-critical and time-sensitive training events. Personnel work closely with military leadership, government representatives, contractors, and visiting units, often in a dynamic environment with frequent schedule changes, after-hours requirements, and surge operations. The position requires strict adherence to Army physical security policies, discretion when handling sensitive information, constant attention to detail, and a strong customer-service mindset while operating within controlled access areas and under Secret-level security clearance requirements
