Federal Contracts Coordinator (Remote or Hybrid)

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) Federal Contracts Team is seeking a qualified Contracts Coordinator. The Contracts Coordinator will be responsible for taking the lead customer service role for the Federal Contracts Team. Duties include reviewing and triaging incoming and outgoing email correspondence from/to government agencies, educational institutions, companies, faculty researchers, and administrators, using internal electronic systems to document actions, set up agreements, check compliance and review internal documents. The position also includes monitoring and routing email for the team, as well as typing correspondences.
The candidate will be proficient in using computer software, such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, PowerPoint, Excel, and other internal electronic systems and shared databases. Strong customer service and organizational skills are required, along with professionalism, tact, discretion, and initiative.

This position is available as 100% remote or hybrid, depending on the candidate’s preference. Candidates must submit both a cover letter and a resume to be considered for this opportunity.
Coordinates the internal processing of communications, transaction requests, and sponsor requests and handles correspondence with internal and external contacts. Advises on the preparation and submission of sponsored project actions. Reviews documents and refers more complex requests to senior leadership. Assists with prioritizing and organizing work.
Essential Functions Manages email inbox for team. Answers office phone. Documents actions taken in internal electronic systems. Reviews information for compliance and completion. Liaises with faculty, staff, government agencies, and external research partners.
Physical Effort This position is primarily sedentary. All work is done electronically, and meetings are virtual.
