Field Service Technician

Duration: 3 Months Contract

Job Description:

• Install HVAC systems: Set up heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.
• Read blueprints and technical diagrams: Understand system layouts and specifications.
• Connect systems: Install electrical wiring, fuel lines, and ductwork.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance: Clean and inspect systems, replace filters, and check refrigerant levels.
• Calibrate controls: Ensure thermostats and system controls are functioning properly.
• Preventive care: Identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Diagnose malfunctions: Use tools and diagnostic equipment to identify issues.
• Replace or repair parts: Fix motors, fans, thermostats, compressors, and other components.
• Emergency repairs: Respond to urgent service calls, especially during extreme weather.

experience:

• Follow safety standards: Adhere to OSHA and local building codes.
• Maintain records: Document service history, repairs, and parts used.
• Environmental compliance: Handle refrigerants according to EPA regulations.

Skills:

• Use specialized tools: Multimeters, pressure gauges, leak detectors, etc.
• Communicate with clients: Explain issues and solutions clearly.
• Advise on upgrades: Recommend energy-efficient systems or improvements.

education:

• High School Diploma
