Locations: Kebbi, Niger, Kaduna, Benue, Ebonyi, Cross-River, and Delta state
Background
- The Field Supervisor will coordinate and supervise the work of a team of enumerators during the USAID Feed the Future Nigeria Agricultural Extension & Advisory Services Activity annual survey for FY24.
- The project works to increase smallholder farmers’ productivity, incomes, and household nutrition status in Kebbi, Niger, Kaduna, Benue, Ebonyi, Cross-River, and Delta states of Nigeria through strengthening sustainable agricultural extension and advisory services.
- The project particularly focuses on aquaculture, cowpea, maize, rice, and soybean value chains.
Essential Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of enumerators during the data collection.
- Ensure that all team members transmit collected data on daily basis.
- Administer household survey interviews.
- Provide daily update on team activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, computer science, sociology/rural development, agricultural economics, economics, or statistics.
Experience:
- S/he will have at least 3 years’ experience in survey fieldwork (data collection, validation, entry, and analysis)
- S/he will have at least 2 years’ experience in conducting agricultural surveys
- Conversant with electronic data collection (using CAPI/ODK)
- Fluency in local language/dialect and respect for ethics
