Duties, Responsibilities & Other
KCI Technologies is hiring a Telecom Field Technician. This person has the ability to work remotely but travel to job sites Virginia such as Farmville, Lynchburg, Roanoke, and Bedford County is a requirement for this position.
- 2-4 years of experience in field work involving telecommunications systems or other utility systems.
- Experience with NESC requirements is preferred
- Experience with OSP/ISP is preferred
- On the job training will be provided for all necessary skills needed to be successful in this position.
- The willingness and ability to learn how to operate field data collection tablets and tools and then record field gathered data.
- The aptitude to learn various hand-held technology for the interpretation of utility locations.
- Experience with AutoCAD is preferred but not required. Basic computer skills is required.
- Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions
- Travel is a requirement of this position. Overnight travel will be required as needed.
- Experience with Utility Pole Sticking is a plus.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 – 4 years of experience.
- Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
