Role Overview
Talk to Loop is looking for a Finance Lead, who will oversee financial planning, governance and reporting while supporting strategic decision-making. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, offering an opportunity to contribute to an impactful mission while gaining experience
in financial leadership within a dynamic and innovative organisation.
Country: Preferably within the Netherlands
Location: Remote or from within the Humanities Hub in The Hague
Salary: 35,000 to 42.000 Euros (all inclusive) per annum dependent on skills and experience
Job Type: 3 days per week with Flexible working hours
Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight
· Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and donor requirements.
· Plan and manage cash flow and working capital to maintain financial stability and support operational needs at both global and country levels.
· Oversee payroll administration to ensure accuracy, compliance with legal standards, and alignment with Loop’s financial policies.
· Develop and implement robust financial policies and procedures to guide decision-making and ensure compliance across all operational levels.
· Monitor income and expenditure to maintain financial health and meet external, legal, and tax obligations in the Netherlands and other jurisdictions.
Strategic Leadership
· Advise the CEO and Governing Board on financial strategies, organizational performance, and opportunities for operational efficiency.
· Develop and regularly update a long-term financial strategy that supports the organization’s objectives and ensures sustainability.
· Provide guidance on income generation initiatives, assessing their financial viability and potential for enhancing organizational revenue.
· Collaborate with Country Leads and fundraising teams to develop budgets for funding proposals, ensuring they are competitive and realistic.
· Mentor and support the Finance Assistant and other finance team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring operational excellence.
Compliance and Governance
· Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and statutory requirements in the Netherlands and other operational jurisdictions.
· Act as the authorized official for the charity for Inland Revenue purposes, managing submissions and external reporting.
· Prepare statutory annual accounts for Board approval and external review, ensuring all financial documents meet audit standards.
· Fulfill Company Secretary responsibilities, including managing contracts and ensuring all external filings are accurate and timely.
· Oversee the filing and management of financial data and ensure smooth auditing processes to meet donor and governance requirements.
Collaboration and Relationship Management
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with banks, funders, donors, and other key stakeholders to secure financial and operational support.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Country Leads and technical teams, to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
· Provide timely and actionable advice to stakeholders on financial matters, including risk management and funding opportunities.
Statutory Compliance & Risk Management
· With support from our Accounting firm, ensure timely preparation of statutory annual accounts for consideration by the Governing Board.
· Fulfil Company Secretary responsibilities, including submission of external reports to charity authorities in the Netherlands if required.
· Ensure appropriate insurance cover is in place for all organisational requirements.
· Oversee the filing and management of the Loop data, finances and reporting to high standards for smooth auditing.
· Manage external reviews of the finances, including audits as required by the Loop Lead, Governance or donors/ investors.

· Qualified Accountant: Hold a recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) with substantial experience in financial leadership, including audit and risk oversight.
