The Role
Palladium are seeking a Finance Manager to join one of our international scholarship programs. You will be responsible for the overall management of program finances and grants management and procurement fun ctions, ensuring financial accountability, and meeting compliance and reporting requirements. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Leading and mentoring a finance team, promoting a collaborative and positive team culture both within your team and with all stakeholders.
Planning, managing and controlling all day-to-day financial transactions and functions for the program.
Reviewing program expenditure actuals budgets and forecasts.
Management of daily payment processing, ensuring effective internal controls and investigation and resolution of variances or discrepancies.
Grants management and disbursement in line with Commonwealth Grant Rules and Guidelines.
Procurement management in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Value for Money principles.
Providing reliable and timely financial advice.
Monitoring, reporting and controls, including conducting internal audits and facilitating external audits; preparation of financial reporting for the client and program requirements; and ensuring finance and procurement related relevant policies and procedures are in place and adhered to.

About you
Drawing on your broad financial management expertise, you will bring:
Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, business or similar.
Substantial financial management and procurement management experience. Grants management experience highly regarded.
Demonstrated understanding and implementation of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Australian Government Fraud Control guidelines and policies.
Considerable people management experience, and ability to lead and coach teams for success.
Strong problem-solving skills in program financial management.
Sound working knowledge of MS Office programs.
Highly developed verbal and written communications skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of personnel from different disciplines.
