Job Description:THE ROLE:We are partnering with our client who is seeking a Senior Analyst in Tax and Accounting to add to their Finance Department, reporting directly to the Director of Finance. This individual will play a key role in facilitating tax savings and planning opportunities aimed at optimizing the company’s tax positioning, all while ensuring absolute compliance.ABOUT YOU:You are a high-caliber professional admired for your commitment to maintaining ethical standards. Your skill set includes the ability to identify lucrative tax savings, propose strategic planning opportunities, and effectively manage intricate tax relationships. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders is second nature to you. You are also adept at book tax entries, month-end journal entries/analysis, and managing tax risks efficiently. • 5 + years of experience in a related field
• A proven ability to strategically plan and regulate tax as well as identify saving opportunities is sought after
• Demonstrated capability to manage and enhance the company’s tax compliance process.
• Self-starter, driven to succeed, and motivated by challenges.
• Sharp attention to detail, you steadfastly maintain the quality of work
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills making for effective team-player dynamics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, past experience with accounting software and are adaptable to new software
• Post secondary degree in business, accounting or relatable
• CPA designation or near completion of the CPA program a definite asset
• Familiarity with U.S., International, and Canadian tax laws and regulations is advantageous
