High Level Statement of the Role:
The Finish Application Associate is responsible for finishing products to specifications. Due to our current mix of veneer and laminate, this position will also be required to perform other processes in finish and other manufacturing areas.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Do appropriate set up for part/unit to be run.
- Spray unit/part using proper finish materials
- Inspect unit/part for color match with color panel as appropriate.
- Keep work space and equipment clean and well organized.
- Perform proper preventive maintenance as required on any equipment being used.
- Give input on process improvements.
- Flex to other operations (finish and other manufacturing processes) as needed
Required experience and Skills:
- Able to pass a color hue test
- Capable of being trained to spray finish material
- Capable of setting up finish equipment to specifications
- Ability to identify nonconformities
- Previous wood finish spraying experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with a can-do attitude.
- Proven history or ability to demonstrate safe / responsible behavior, and a positive performance record (including attendance)
- Ability to learn and adapt to new situations quickly.
- Able to interact with diverse groups of people.
- Must have a positive attitude.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Able to effectively use problem solving skills.
- Meet the physical demands of the job.
- Understand the effects of the equipment on finish application.
- Able to apply multiple types of finish materials to a variety of products.
- Good verbal/written communication skills in English language.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- High School Degree or GED
