First-Year Admission Counselor

Responsible for recruitment/enrollment initiatives in an assigned territory. Specifically, informs, advises, and counsels prospective students, secondary schools, community colleges, and other organizations about Elmhurst University. The admission counselor will generate and convert prospects through the enrollment funnel by providing counseling through the recruitment cycle. Seeks opportunities for expanded recruitment contacts, participates in various recruiting events, and positively contributes to the attainment of new student enrollment goals.

The essential functions of this position are primarily performed in an indoor setting with limited exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Work is often sedentary in nature and requires remaining in a stationary position for extended periods. Required abilities include speaking and hearing for in-person and virtual communication, using close and distance vision when reading documents or viewing screens, and performing tasks with repetitive fine motor skills. Work may require occasional lifting, bending, carrying, or otherwise moving to lift display and promotional materials, approximately 50 pounds.
