Are you a passionate and dedicated Welsh-speaking individual eager to support students in their educational journey? We are seeking a dynamic Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference by helping students develop their Welsh language skills, as well as providing crucial support in the classroom to promote academic success.Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering lessons, ensuring students receive the help they need to understand and engage with the curriculum.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of Welsh language programs and activities.
  • Provide tailored support to Welsh-speaking students to help them thrive in both Welsh and English language contexts.
  • Work with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, assisting with learning activities and classroom tasks.
  • Help create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that fosters confidence in the Welsh language.
  • Support the monitoring of student progress and provide feedback to both students and teachers.

About You
We are looking for a Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting students and promoting the Welsh language. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in Welsh and English, along with a genuine desire to contribute to student development in a bilingual learning environment.Requirements

  • Fluency in Welsh, both written and spoken.
  • Experience supporting students in an educational setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive and supportive attitude, with a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for contributing to the school’s Welsh-language initiatives and overall community.
