Position Summary:

Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a Food Unit Leader to coordinate with the Human Services Branch on the reporting and tracking of meal preparation, distribution, and related support and state assistance requirements. This role plays a vital part in ensuring efficient and effective food service operations during emergency incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the Human Services Branch to support meal-prepping and distribution operations
• Track meal-related data and ensure accurate reporting during incident response
• Identify and communicate support needs for food unit activities
• Coordinate with state agencies and partners to obtain necessary assistance
• Monitor vendor performance and contract compliance for food services
• Assist in planning for food service operations in various environments
• Maintain documentation for food distribution and cost tracking
• Support after-action review and continuous improvement of food unit operations

Basic Qualifications:

• 1+ years of work experience in a food services or mass care support role
• Working knowledge of Mass Care Activities and emergency food service protocols
• Strong coordination and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively across teams and agencies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and incident documentation tools
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting feeding operations during disaster response
• Familiarity with ICS structure and emergency response operations
• Training in Mass Care, Emergency Assistance, Housing, and Human Services (ESF-6)

• Travel Required: Yes – up to 100% while on assignment

Working Environment:

The work environment may include Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), food distribution sites, or other field locations. Extended work hours beyond 12 hours per day and travel to various locations throughout the continental United States and its territories may be required.
