Forklift Operator

???? Purpose of the Role

• Load, unload, move, stack and stage products and materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered industrial equipment
• Utilize handheld scanners for picking, receiving, put-away and loading functions
• Keep equipment, materials and work areas neat, clean & organized
• Perform daily inspections and minor maintenance on forklifts and related equipment
• Operate all machinery safely and efficiently, following established work methods

???? Essential Functions

• Safe Material Handling
  • Unload/load product with proper safety and handling techniques
  • Segregate, label, check and stage inbound/outbound product correctly
• Documentation & Data
  • Complete and sign all required load paperwork
  • Enter accurate data in handheld devices
• Housekeeping & Support
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and adhere to safety policies
  • Assist with physical or cycle counts as needed
• Quality & Reporting
  • Identify damages or quality issues; report overages/shortages
  • Execute assignments accurately, timely and safely
• Team Collaboration
  • Follow work instructions and support any additional tasks assigned by your supervisor

???? Qualifications & Skills

• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of forklift and warehouse experience
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Technical & Soft Skills:
  • Able to follow detailed instructions
  • Respectful, considerate team player
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., data entry on handheld devices)
  • Good math, reading and verbal communication skills

???? Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

???? Physical Requirements

• Regularly operate and sit on a powered industrial truck
• Frequently lift up to 55 lbs and perform bending, stooping, standing, walking, turning and pivoting
• Climb on/off equipment repeatedly
• Tolerate varying temperatures (seasonal warehouse conditions)
