Full Charge Bookkeeper in Brookfield, Wisconsin

Description We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Brookfield, Wisconsin. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks, including processing invoices, creating journal entries, and maintaining the general ledger. You will also be expected to provide assistance to other team members and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity in the Financial Services industry.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process accounts receivable and payable invoices

• Generate and post journal entries to the general ledger

• Provide assistance and answer inquiries from other staff members regarding accounting tasks

• Ensure compliance with SOX regulations

• Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel proficiently

• Handle other accounting functions as required

• Oversee the annual budget and perform cash flow analysis

• Maintain the accounts receivable and payable records accurately. Requirements • Extensive knowledge and experience in Accounting Software Systems

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing and presenting financial data

• Solid understanding and capability to perform all Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and ensuring timely payments

• Proven track record in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) and ensuring prompt collection

• Ability to prepare and monitor an Annual Budget, making necessary adjustments as needed

• Experience in Cash Flow Analysis for financial planning and projections

• Familiarity with SOX – Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and compliance requirements in financial reporting
