How can you make a difference?
UNICEF seeks to hire an Acquisition Marketing Specialist to oversee the acquisition team and to manage all marketing activities to facilitate growth through diversified income sources from individual giving. Specific responsibilities will include building and managing end-to-end performance-based marketing campaigns across a variety of channels to increase conversions in the income funnel, analyzing market trends to inform acquisition efforts, identifying audiences, and monitoring and reporting on campaign performance.
This role is critical in driving UNICEF’s growth, enhancing donor acquisition and leading the change to a digital first and audience-centric operation. It requires creative and analytical thinking, and application of various business development and marketing techniques across all channels.
The Acquisition Marketing Specialist plays a key role in the Fundraising team, contributing significantly to the development of donor acquisition initiatives under a digital first umbrella that promotes UNICEF’s mission and increase donations.

Minimum requirements:
- Education: An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in one of the following fields is required: Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, Management, Business Administration, or another relevant technical field. *Alternatively, a first level university degree (bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Work Experience: A minimum of five years of professional experience in marketing, fundraising, business development, sales, or other related field is required, with progressively increasing responsibilities, including direct responsibility for setting and meeting income targets.
- Skills: Skills in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and in tracking KPIs to assess campaign effectiveness.
- Knowledge of segmentation practices, especially in using CRM systems to build targeted campaigns
- Experience in, and knowledge of, the country context.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
- Demonstrated ability to handle end-to-end campaign execution, from planning and budgeting to monitoring and optimization.
- Relevant marketing experience
- Experience with campaign execution from concept to reporting.
- Familiarity with the private sector.
- Fundraising experience is an asset.
- Previous managerial experience is essential.
- Experience in a similar industry, particularly in the non-profit sector, is preferred but not required.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a local language (Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese or Tamil) is an asset
