Gas Injection Operator

Shift: Monday – Friday 1:00pm – 9:30pm (2nd Shift)

Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for sterilizing hospital supplies and surgical instruments.

Core Responsibilities

• Set up Gas-Injection Unit daily and shuts down the Gas-Injection unit at the end of the day.
• Sets up daily paperwork.
• Calibrates Gas-Injection Unit.
• Enter data into Gas-Injection Unit.
• Scans packs’ barcode.
• Watches computer screen to ensure all parameters are achieved.
• Inspects seals, insert labels, carton labels for accuracy and correct color according to distribution
• list.
• Makes biological test packs, places pallets in heat/aeration chamber, removes pallets from
• heat/aeration chamber, and incubates biological tests.
• Reads & documents biologicals for release of finished goods.
• Performs routine maintenance on Gas-Injection units.
• Trouble shoots any mechanical failures.
• When time permits, makes boxes or helps build or bag packs in the assembly room.

Qualifying Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2 years relevant experience
