Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Gate Operator Technician / Installer for a locally owned company in Salem, OR. This role involves installing and servicing automated gate systems, including running loop systems for gate activation and vehicle detection. The ideal candidate has mechanical or electrical aptitude, enjoys hands-on field work, and is comfortable working outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Install and service gate operators, access control systems, and related components
• Lay and connect loop systems used for automated gates and vehicle sensors
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Load, unload, and organize tools and materials for each job
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment

Qualifications

• experience with installation, construction, or mechanical work
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring and low-voltage systems a plus
• Ability to dig, trench, and lay conduit for loop installations
• Comfortable working outdoors and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
