Are you a driven welder with solid experience? If so, we are looking for you! We are growing rapidly and looking for a Gear Shop Technician who will partner with our growing team. The role is located at our Kansas City, MO location. You will be responsible for various types of structural welding, including preparation, welding, and finishing operations.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You understand the heavy equipment business and have a drive for being an active part of solutions. You set the bar high and set an example for other leaders and colleagues on how to work collaboratively with the highest level of integrity.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works directly with customers, supervisors, and peers to produce finished products
- Proficient in modern welding techniques and equipment
- Good working knowledge of drivelines, pto’s, pumps, hydraulic hoses and press work is a plus.
- Problem analysis and resolution
- Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.
- Responds effectively to questions and inquiries concerning work being performed
- Utilizes knowledge of various machines, welding practices, mathematics, and other physical sciences to complete drivelines and welding
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Must be familiar with drive line assembly and application
- Must have a working knowledge of welding
- Position requires that successful applicant be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently but also performs well working with others.
- Must have strong oral communication skills
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
- Successful applicant will be safety conscious and have good housekeeping practices
- Able to work with minimum supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced
EXPERIENCE
- Require at least 3 years in the following
o Welding and lathe work
o Knowledge of drivelines, ptos, pumps, hydraulic hoses, and press work
