Industrial Janitor
We are seeking a self-motivated and reliable individual to fill an Industrial Janitor role with a company located in Detroit, MI.
Day Shift: 7:00AM – 3:30PM Monday – Friday
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

About the Company: In business for over 100 years, we are a major producer of powdered construction materials in the Great Lakes region.
Job Summary for Industrial Janitor position:
- Remove debris and material spillage from the production area
- Assist in General Labor duties as needed
- Clean machinery components, material bins or tanks, conveyer belts & grinding mill screens
- Perform labor-intensive tasks such as sweeping, shoveling or jackhammering material as needed
- Work with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and efficiency
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing provided personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during work hours
Industrial Janitor Qualifications:
- experience: Previous experience working in an industrial, plant, or manufacturing environment.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, lift, bend, walk, lift and perform physical work on a repetitive basis throughout the shift.
- Lifting capability: Proven ability to frequently lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently throughout shift.
- Certification training provided: Company will provide certification after successfully completing MSHA Part 46 assessment training. Training provided by company on first day.
