As a result, career advancement is based on your success at the company, but is unlimited.A Day in the life of a Geotechnical Project Manager at Pinchin:
- Perform Geotechnical engineering evaluations (e.g. Soil and bedrock engineering design, slope stability analysis, earth retention systems, excavation, dewatering and shoring.)
- Scheduling assessments and meetings with clients/contractors
- Assigning work to field staff as appropriate depending on workloads and in conjunction with the other Senior Managers
- Preparing contract documents, proposals, and reports
- Providing clients with advice on appropriate regulations and guidelines
- Meet with clients to determine project requirements
- Business development and marketing to new and existing clients
What you bring to the Pinchin team:
- University degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Geological Engineering or related degree and experience
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in a geotechnical engineering role
- A Professional Engineering Designation in British Columbia or be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia
- Able to work closely with our project teams across the company where geotechnical support may be of assistance, such as Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation and Building Sciences
- Prior experience in consulting engineering or construction is considered an asset
- The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, clients and managers
- Proven technical writing skills for preparing geotechnical engineering reports and letters for clientele
- Valid driver’s license insurance & personal vehicle is required (work-related travel expenses will be compensated)
