We are looking for German Teachers to join one of our charity partners in Greece, where you will have the opportunity to support individuals striving for a life of safety and dignity in Europe.
As a volunteer Language Teacher, your main responsibilities will involve teaching German to students of all ages, to allow individuals to build bridges across cultures and integrate into new environments.
Responsibilities for the role include:
- Conducting language courses for students at various proficiency levels
- Providing a safe space for learning and building students’ confidence
- Preparing teaching materials
- Enrolling new students
- Ensuring participation in language classes
Requirements:
- Proficiency in English, as well as German
- Experience as a German teacher
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, a high level of emotional intelligence and intercultural sensitivity
- Highly organised and committed to providing high quality teaching and learning experiences
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage own workload
- A flexible attitude and a willingness to adapt to changing conditions
- Ability to work independently while being a supportive team member
For this role a minimum age of 22 years is required and you are asked to commit at least 12 weeks to the role. Accommodation can be provided for this role.
