JOB DESCRIPTION

Job description

To reach climate neutrality by 2050, we must transform our economies to operate emission-free fast. While 100% renewable energy is key for this transformation, some industries and transport sectors cannot yet directly electrify to become climate neutral. Until they can, Power-to-X and green hydrogen are the missing link. Power-to-X enables us to produce anything historically dependent on fossil fuels with renewable electricity and carbon. These sustainable, climate neutral e-fuels and chemicals can defossilise high-emissions industries, including the chemical, fertiliser, steel and cement industries, as well as aviation and maritime transport.

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for the the Economy and Climate Action (BMWK), the International PtX Hub is committed to the global breakthrough of renewable PtX to reach climate goals and full defossilisation of our economies. The goal is to shape the framework conditions for the production in countries of the Global South in a sustainable manner, secure financing, build international networks and partnerships, generate knowledge, and tap country and market potential.

  • You will support the planning and implementation of all communication activities of the PtX Hub

  • You will prepare editorial and visual content for the PtX Hub social media channel(s)
  • You will actively contribute to the successful implementation of internal and external workshops and other events
  • You will support the day-to-day operations and project management of the PtX Hub

Your profile

  • Ongoing university studies, e. g. in the field of communication or media sciences, public relations, marketing, political or social sciences or a journalistic education

  • Interest in the topics of renewable energy, international cooperation and sustainability (initial work experiences are an advantage)
  • Ability to write and edit, including technical, content (text and visual) in a target group-oriented, understandable and appealing manner
  • High degree of digital affinity and proven experience in working with social media
