The Head of Consulting Patient Treatment Experience will provide leadership and operational management to Nuvera as Nuvera continues on its growth journey. The Head of Consulting Patient Treatment Experience will be capable of creating and driving clear growth plans that balance short term priorities with long-term value creation objectives whilst also establishing Nuvera within the Decision Optimization and Engage. This role is the leader of the Nuvera business and drive the positioning of services, sales, and operational management for Nuvera’s success, driving in particular Nuvera’s leadership and the development and expansion of a high performing culture and team.

What will you be doing? 

As a subject matter expert in patient treatment experiences, the Head of Consulting will contribute to shaping Nuvera’s strategy, vision and goals, and lead the daily operations of the business. 

  • Identify and refine proposals for updating Nuvera’s strategic direction, services, and market opportunities, and present these proposals to the DO President. (NEW)
  • Act and serves as key member of the Decision Optimization (DO) leadership team, to support the President of DO to devise the short- and long-term aspects of the Decision Optimization strategy.
  • Continue the implementation of Nuvera’s business strategy, ensuring growth targets are achieved.
  • Utilize pristine business development strategies to drive top-line net revenue growth objectives for Nuvera. Agree ambitious but realistic growth goals and manage Nuvera’s performance to ensure short term and net revenue goals are achieved including but not limited to ensuring a proper implementation plan to ensure achievement of top-line revenue growth. Ensure financial investments are made when needed with appropriate timing and return on investment plans, and manage the cost base diligently.
  • Support shaping of client and project delivery processes and ensuring execution of customer deliverables with high speed, high quality, and high value.
  • Leads innovation projects specific to enhancing existing Nuvera capabilities, and identifying and new capabilities that will spur the ongoing growth of Nuvera and DO.
  • Support President of DO and be an agent in determining business areas where Nuvera can drive growth and act as an accelerator or complementary service to other Inizio, Engage, and DO services. Support and champion the ongoing integration of Nuvera into DO, Engage and Inizio.
  • Proactively leading exploring, considering and proposing potential for expansion of Nuvera globally.
  • Manage relationships and represent Nuvera across DO, Engage and Inizio, building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Identify, communicate, and oversee the resolution of gaps that impede the fulfilment of operational reporting and oversight.
  • Leverage subject matter expertise to support the President of Patient Solutions at Inizio Engage by refining strategic client proposals within patient treatment experience area. This includes assessing and recommending updates to the strategic direction, services, and market opportunities. Additionally, apply insights from similar clients to inform recommendations and drive successful outcomes.
  • Steward of culture and team growth aligning to business revenue growth and service line expansion
  • Day-to-day Nuvera operations and performance management. Plan and manage team expansion and the interconnecting of resources across DO.

Business development, consultancy delivery and client management through the Nuvera team and Engage Growth team

  • The Head of Consulting Services Patient Treatment Experience will need to contribute to Nuvera’s revenue growth as a key business development resource for Nuvera, driving growth with key contacts and clients requiring the Head of Consulting Patient Treatment Experience’s attention or escalation from Principals through actions such as:
  • Overseeing the development of business development plans and partner with the Engage Growth team to improve and expand the organization’s strategic market position and to achieve growth and financial profitability.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including developing and maintaining relationships with potential clients, attending industry events, establishing thought leadership and profile positions and participating in relevant industry associations.
  • Serve as a contributor in collaboration with Inizio colleagues on joint client approaches, pitches, meetings, solutions, contributing to the overall Inizio Engage performance, through Nuvera.
  • In key projects and with key clients, act as a consultant and directly generate revenue to own personal revenue generation target (the Head of Consulting Patient Treatment Services’s personal revenue target for delivery will be set each year, depending on the budget targets and evaluation of time required delivering projects vs non-chargeable responsibilities of the role).

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and engage the Nuvera team, through communication, actions and culture development, ensuring that the Head of Consulting Patient Treatment Experience has a connection to the pulse of the Nuvera team and knows why, when and how to act on necessary actions.

  • Develop and implement retention strategies to minimize attrition and also to improve the attraction and recruitment opportunities for Nuvera within the competitive candidate market.

  • Support and foster team member professional development.

What do you need for this position? 

  • B.A./B.S. Degree or higher, MBA preferred
  • Subject matter expert in Specialty biopharma commercialization from a perspective of understanding the market, therapeutic areas and offerings aligned to these areas.
  • Business leadership – Has led successfully led and/or grown (a) business(es).
  • Consulting Experience – 10+ years of life sciences experience with at least 5 years of strategy consulting work managing multiple client engagements, including team and client management.
  • Financial knowledge with managing budgeting, forecasting and ensuring financial data such as pipeline is reasonably accurate and enables sound topline financial analysis.
  • People – skilled leader and manager with experience ‘leading leaders’, Principals and subject matter experts.
  • Strategy – understands the market potential and Nuvera’s competitive position versus others and can implement a plan to execute strategy.
  • Industry Knowledge and Experience: 10-15 years working in life sciences or pharmaceutical industries across a selection of the following domains:
  • product launch/commercialization
  • product strategy and positioning
  • commercial operations
  • patient services
  • market access
  • product access and administration
  • reimbursement support
  • adherence solutions
  • hub services
  • health outcomes strategy & optimization
  • specialty pharmacy distribution
  • customer insights
  • commercial model transformation
  • customer engagement
  • Client and market –
  • Expert levels of knowledge of the pharma and pharma consultancy industry.
  • Detailed understanding of the US pharma industry, and the external and internal factors which influence pharma decisions.
  • Who the target client key stakeholders and decision makers are relating to opportunities for Nuvera services within US pharma clients.
  • Continuously stay informed around industry trends, innovations, and strategies and lead the Nuvera innovation to bring these trends to clients.
  • Horizon scanner, with an awareness of developments in the pharmaceutical market, the national healthcare landscape, client and prospective client interests, and knowledge of competitor activity.
  • Outstanding communication. Can adapt communication to the audience and situation with ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve goals.
  • Confident and clear presentation style.
  • Able to take complex data and client requests, interpret the data and build presentations and slides which ‘tell a story’.
