Header Welder – TIG

Job Description

We are seeking experienced TIG Welders with proficiency in welding on BOX HEADERS. This role involves working within a leading design and manufacturing environment specializing in shell and tube heat exchangers and cooling units. While experience in Box Header welding is highly preferred, it is not mandatory. However, candidates must be skilled TIG welders with code experience, as structural welding candidates will not be considered. Successful applicants must be able to pass a 2G TIG Root Flux Core Fill & Cap test.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality TIG welding on Box Headers and other components.
• Read and interpret prints for specifications and dimensions.
• Demonstrate self-motivation and productivity, requiring minimal supervision.
• Collaborate effectively as a team player to achieve company goals.
• Maintain a repair rate of less than 5% for X-Ray inspections.
• Efficiently fix X-Ray and UT repairs as needed.
• Identify and correct sub-standard welds to ensure product quality.
• Be punctual and willing to work extended hours to meet project deadlines.
• Assist with fit-ups and other minor tasks outside of welding when necessary.
• Follow safety protocols diligently.

Essential Skills

• Proven TIG welding experience.
• Code welding expertise.
• Ability to pass 2G TIG Root Flux Core Fill & Cap test.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

• Header welding experience is preferred.

Work Environment

This role is situated in a heavy manufacturing environment, with shifts running 24/7. We are particularly in need of night shift welders, working from 6:00pm to 6:00am, Monday through Friday, with mandatory Saturdays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Catoosa, Oklahoma.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $30.00/hr.
