Job Summary:

The Medical Records HIM Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining patient medical records in an accurate and organized manner. This role involves scanning and attaching documents to electronic records, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of patient information, and assisting with the transfer and copying of records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scan and attach appropriate documents to patient electronic records with accuracy.
• Maintain orderly files and continually check for misfiled information.
• Copy and/or print records for transfer as needed.
• Maintain tracking of records transfers and copying.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information.
• Assist with other administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a medical records or health information management role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

• Office environment within a healthcare setting.
• Regular working hours with occasional overtime as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 – $21.00/hr.
