Health Information Management Director (040925) FULL TIME

HIM Director opportunity in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!!

Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Director position in our Health Information Management (HIM) department. The HIM Director is responsible for organizational and administrative operation of the Health Information Management Department, including coding, transcription and maintenance of patient health records. Oversight responsibility for operational aspects of the department. Serves as a resource for physicians and clinicians regarding medical record content and legal and regulatory requirements. Assures the availability, privacy and security of the health record at all times. This position is salaried/exempt as defined under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Associates Degree in HIM field required, Bachelor’s preferred.
• Licensures, Certifications, Registrations: HIM certification required (RHIA or RHIT)
• Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Management skills, understanding of state and federal regulations for coding, release of information and document management, good oral and written communication skills
• Experience: 2 years prior management experience in the health care field.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
