Health Information Management (HIM) Records Specialist- On-Site

GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is looking for a FT HIM Records Specialist – on site in Blythe, California. 

This is an employee status (W-2) position, working Monday – Friday days. 

Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for performing all tasks related to billing, followup and collection functions.

• Performs general clerical duties of preparing, compiling, analyzing and maintaining clinical records
• Scanning and importing documents into the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Enters and retrieves data via the EHR, web portals, file-bound, Word or Excel as necessary.
• Assist in the release of confidential information in accordance with agency policies and procedures, as well as federal and state laws to various individuals and/or organizations.
• Professional positive attitude, vision, understanding of customer service principals, trustworthiness, and excellent interpersonal skills to successfully accomplish tasks necessary to meet high standards of ethical and social responsibility required by this position.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a healthcare office environment.
• Release of Information experience preferred.
• Scanning experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic math skills required.
• Must have excellent communication (both verbal and nonverbal) skills.
• Strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines is mandatory.
• California residents only – must reside within driving distance to Blythe, California.
• Position is 100% on site.
