• Hospital: Onsite at the Cap & Lilly clinic in Brookfield and occasionally in Racine location.

Responsibilities

Lead and perform technical functions of the department to include medical record completion, storage of records, retrieval and release of medical information.

• Assist with maintaining daily operations, training and monitoring quality standards.
• Assist team members with issues requiring immediate attention.
• Serve as a liaison to other departments.
• Perform duties of team members as assigned.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.
• Reg Health Info Admin credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.
• Reg Health Info Tech credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.
• Certified Coding Associate (CCA) credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 1 year of experience OR 2 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of experience can be used in lieu of education, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

• 2-3 years Health Information Management experience, Epic experience a plus.
