Job Summary

• Knowledgeable of State and Federal Regulations regarding the release of confidential patient information. Understands basic computer functions as demonstrates expert knowledge of software proprietary to the Health Information Management Department as well as software used throughout Cox Health Systems.

Job Requirements

• Education
• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience
• Preferred: Previous experience in Health Information Management.
• Skills
• Knowledge of the legal regulations regarding the release of confidential patient information.
• Knowledge of County, State, and Federal court system.
• Excellent knowledge of Soarian, Cerner, Document Imaging and other software utilized by Cox Health Systems.
• Knowledge of current medical terminology.
• Very detailed oriented.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration
