United Health Services is seeking a Health Information Management ROI Specialist to join our Release of Information department at 33 Lewis Rd in Binghamton, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

Overview

Responsible for processing Release of Information (ROI) requests in a timely, efficient manner ensuring patient privacy in compliance with UHS policy and HIPAA regulations. Assure records requested are processed timely to minimize delays, that impact patient care or patient needs.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of electronic health records.
• One (1) year previous experience in a release of information, Health Information Management or healthcare environment.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of New York State Rules and Regulations pertaining to HIPAA and Release of Information.
