Foundations Behavioral Health in Doylestown, PA is hiring for a Health Information Management (HIM) Technician. This is a full-time Monday – Friday position offering great pay and benefits.
Health Information Management Technician is responsible for medical record maintenance and confidentiality. Primary duties include; the timely completion of admission, discharge, and transfer procedures, quantitative analysis of medical records, monitoring access to patient charts, recording and maintaining accurate data relating to patient admissions, discharges and transfers, and confidential compliant release of information, provision of historical health information, and medical records storage. Assist as necessary with maintaining appropriate stock of medical record forms and labels on assigned units. Duties are performed congruent with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), Code of Ethics and the Information Management Policy and Procedures.

Established in 1964, Foundations Behavioral Health provides treatment in a homelike environment located on a 12-acre campus in Bucks County, PA. Foundations provides a full continuum of care for children, adolescents, and young adults spanning hospitalization to outpatient and academic services.

High school diploma required. Registered Health Information Technician or Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution preferred. One to three years experience in health information management field desired. Ability to organize and attend to details with accuracy necessary. Must demonstrate familiarity with common office machines and standard software applications such as Word, Excel and Power Point
