What You Can Expect:

  • Record Management: Verify, import, prep, scan, and maintain patient health information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Document Review: Evaluate the completeness of medical record content and notify providers of incomplete or deficient documentation.
  • Categorization & Compliance: Review records to classify them. Identify documentation deficiencies, assign them to the appropriate provider, and track the status of incomplete records to ensure timely completion in compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Record Transcription: Transcribe and document relevant health information in the patient’s EMR, creating new encounters and orders as needed.
  • Provider Liaison: Communicate regularly with physicians, their staff, and other healthcare facilities to address record-related inquiries and support continuity of care.
  • Release of Information: Process health information/medical records requests in accordance with facility standards and legal guidelines for the continuity of care.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year experience.
