We are looking for a motivated individual who can use their initiative to work as a Healthcare Assistant in our Inpatients Unit at HMP ElmleyTask will include:

  • Assist in the delivery of high quality nursing care to patients in Kent Prisons in support of a registered nurse.
  • Work unsupervised for significant periods.
  • Undertake an extended role e.g. patient focused health promotion activities and programmes.
  • Work as part of the Integrated Healthcare Service, providing a range of quality services to Kent Prisons.

This position is based within the prison setting and you will be working as part of the integrated healthcare team alongside nurses, pharmacy and doctors.Main duties of the job

  • To assist in the delivery of high quality nursing care to patients in Kent Prisons in support of a registered nurse.
  • Is able to work unsupervised for significant periods.
  • To undertake an extended role e.g patient focused health promotion activities and programmes.
  • To work as part of the Integrated Healthcare Service, providing a range of quality services to HMP Elmley.
