GH111435964Academic Appointments are recruiting for Higher Level Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Staff to start in September. The role would be to work in school that provides education for young people who have severe and complex learning difficulties. They offer an aspirational, personalised, and multi-sensory curriculum designed to ensure that students are successful and enjoy their learning.A successful candidate would have:

  • Experience supporting students with SEMH and SEND needs.
  • Experience in an educational setting within the last 2 years.
  • Experience working within education or care in the UK in the last 12 months.
  • A passion for making a difference.
  • A confident, caring, and assertive personality.

What to expect:

  • You will be supporting pupils with three different pathways which each student will following depending on their individual needs.
  • This school follows a rich curriculum with uses sensory exploration to engage students with the world around them, there are aspects of learning that focus on action hands on learning involving Maths and English.
  • On-going professional development

Requirements:

  • Team Teach qualification (essential)
  • Moving & handling training (essential)
  • Available for between 3-5 days work
  • x2 references
  • Experience working within education or care in the UK in the last 12 months
