EMPLOYEE WORKS UNDER THE IMMEDIATE SUPERVISION OF THE DIRECTOR, HIM. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE MANAGEMENT OF THE HEALTH INFORMATION DEPARTMENT WITH DIRECT AND INDIRECT SUPERVISION OF EMPLOYEES WITHIN THAT DEPARTMENT. POSITION REQUIRES STRONG LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS, FACILITY WITH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND THE ABILITY TO MAINTAIN A GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL, MEDICAL STAFF AND ANCILLARY DEPARTMENTS.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT REQUIRED, BACHELOR DEGREE IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT OR RELATED FIELD PREFERRED.
• Experience: FIVE YEARS IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT REQUIRED.
• TWO YEAR PRIOR SUPERVISOR REQUIRED
• Required skills: WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS. KNOWLEDGE OF FEDERAL AND GOVERNMENTAL REGULATIONS.
• ADVANCE COMPUTER SKILLS Preferred skills: R.H.I.A. OR R.H.I.T.
