Emphasis will be placed particularly on the period after the 1750s, which saw the emergence of British imperialism, anti-colonial struggles, and the formation of new nation states after 1947. (24L/12T)Estimated Course Enrollment: 40Estimated TA Support: 80Class Schedule: Thursdays, 11:00-1:00Hours of Work: Thursdays, 2:00 – 4:00Sessional Dates of Appointment: September 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025Salary: $54.27 per hourPlease note that should rates stipulated in the Collective Agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.Qualifications: Applicants should have a completed PhD or (for non- U. of T. graduate students) equivalent, with major field in the relevant topic area.Demonstrated effectiveness as a teaching assistant, academic qualifications in the subject, ability to introduce students to a diverse range of approaches, and suitability for the position.Description of Duties: Duties may include the teaching of small tutorial sections, marking of assignments, holding scheduled office hours and invigilation of exams; other duties as determined by the supervisor.Application Instructions: Applicants are required to submit a cover letter, Curriculum Vitae (CV) and a completed to Dr. B.
