The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview: Performs all duties related to the preparation of surgical and autopsy specimens to be examined by a Pathologist,

Performs special stains and Immunohistochemistry to aid in identification of the diagnosis or disease state,

Assist pathologist during the gross processing of surgical specimens,

Using frozen section technique, prepare slides for the pathologist to view for rapid diagnosis,

Experience grossing preferred,

Qualifications:
Required:

• Has education and experience equivalent to the guidelines mandated by CMS in the Clinical Lab Improvement Act CLIA of 1988 and NJSDH requirements,
• Certified Histology Technician ASCP,

• Per Diem
